Piaggio Australia has sliced $1000 off the price of its three-wheeled MP3 400, with the revolutionary maxi scooter now available for $10,990 (plus ORC).
The MP3 400 features the ‘Master’ 400cc liquid-cooled four-valve engine, which produces 25Kw at 7500rpm and 38Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It also meets strict Euro 3 emission standards.
The MP3 family, which also includes a 250cc version, has safety and stability levels that no other two-wheelers can match, especially on uneven and wet surfaces. They take on rough asphalt and tram tracks with the greatest of ease, and are no wider than a comparable two-wheel maxi scooter. And when it rains, they shine on slippery and oil-stained roads.
“The three-wheel concept has been well received in Australia with our diverse conditions, and it has been widely endorsed in the media,” said Piaggio Brand Manager Simon Gloyne. “We simply wanted to make this model even more affordable for the weekday commuters and weekend tourers.”
The MP3s are type-approved as standard two-wheeled motorcycles. This means licensing and registration requirements are the same as for a motorcycle.
