Piaggio Network Expands

Piaggio Australia has announced the addition of two new dealers to its network. Redline Motosports (Mick Hansen and Lyle Gilmore) in Mackay QLD and Suncity Motorcycles' (Brett & Leah Gannon) in Geraldton W.A.

These new dealerships have joined a carefully selected list of service points in regional Australia.

"We've always been extra careful when selecting dealers," said Piaggio's Marketing Manager Mal Jarrett. "The idea is to have a good geographical spread, so people know that when they buy a Piaggio, they can have peace of mind that they can still get top service and after sales advice, especially in regional areas.

Redline Motosports are located at 24-26 Grandview Drive Mt Pleasant (Mackay) (07)49634500 and Suncity Motorcycles can be found at 1 Flores Road Webberton (Geraldton) (08) 9921 6888.

There is only one Vespa and it remains the iconic scooter brand with its unique metal-bodied design. Nestled in the Tuscan countryside between Florence and Pisa, the first Vespa was invented in 1946 by the Piaggio Company, and helped liberate a war-torn Italy.
Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in "Roman Holiday" were only the first of a long series of international actors and actresses to be seen on the world's most famous scooter. In photo shoots, films and on the set, the Vespa has been a "travel companion" for names like Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress, Geraldine Chaplin, Joan Collins, Jayne Mansfield, Virna Lisi, Milla Jovovich, Marcello Mastroianni, Charlton Heston, John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Gary Cooper, Anthony Perkins, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Nanni Moretti, Sting, Antonio Banderas, Matt Damon, Gérard Depardieu, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson, to name but a few.
